Pues sí! ... Cuando parece que ya has pasado lo peor con los Pirineos, y has atravesado la hermosa e histórica Pamplona... BAM... Monte del Perdon! No es muy largo, tampoco excesivamente empinado (salvo 3 o 4 tramos de 100 o 200 metros), rondando el 14% en los trozos más empinados, yo diría. Pero se añade mucha piedra suelta, y el sol implacable de las 14:00 horas, y cuesta la cuesta!!! Echamos el pie a tierra más de una vez, pero conseguimos atravesarlo casi
indemnes (Alice se cayó hacia su lado izquierdo en la técnica y dura bajada sobre piedras sueltas y cantos rodados) quizás perdonados debido al sacrificio. Me pregunto si ese será el origen del nombre de tal risco... Quizás al que confesaba algún pecado de más calibre que aquellos denominados veniales, se le hacia subir estas cuestas a pleno sol de mediodía, en una especie de ejercicio purgatorio físico-espiritual. En fin... No sería mala idea.
En breve salimos de Puente la Reina, un hermoso mas-que-pueblo, también con gran historia y buena gente. Vamos allá! A por la siguiente.

Another day of spotty Wi-Fi here at the albergue in Puente la Reina. ... If you are English speaker, try to practice your Spanish right above :) Due to time constraints I am trying to alternate days of more English with days of more Spanish. I will try to go back after we are done and fill in translations and post more pictures.
We traversed the hard to climb and hard to descend Monte del Perdón. Steep, loose rock; technically challenging. It was also 2pm... HOT! But we did it. We spent night in a LOVELY Albergue Puente, in Puente la Reina. We are now leaving for our 3rd stage. Looking forward to more plains, but we will also get more Sun :/ oh well. I say... One pedal stroke at a time. See you soooooon!

Your pups wish they were there with you! So does your mother/mother-in-law!! I hope you're taking pics to accompany your dialogue. I imagine with spotty wifi it's hard to get them uploaded. Looks like you're having fun! :-) :-) LOVE!!!!
